Publication Site and Frequency
www.iupac.org/publications/cei -
Updated monthly; collected in a volume once a year. PDF files will also be prepared when appropriate.

Process and Authentication
A CCE member submits or recommends a manuscript to an editor (electronically). The editor reviews the manuscript in line with the editorial policy. If the editor finds difficulty in decision, he may consult members of the editorial board. The approved manuscript is transferred to chief editor for e-publication.

Preparation of Manuscript
Manuscript may be prepared in either of the format (a) or (b).

(a) Text and tables in html format. Figures, schemes, and photos in either gif or jpeg format. Appropriate links may be prepared as necessary.

(b) Text and tables in a Microsoft Word document. Figures, schemes, and photos may be pasted in the document, but preferably the corresponding gif or jpeg files are attached to avoid degradation of the graphics. It will take some time to convert the document into html format. Too complex partitioning in the MS Word document may cause difficulty in converting hence it may take longer time. Supplementary Materials: Special materials, such as video, sound, and animation, which require special ad-in tools to the web browser, may accompany the document as supplementary materials. The html files with cgi and java materials may also be supplementary materials. They shall be placed at the web sites prepared by the author, and relevant links referring to them should be prepared in the text.

Format of the text: see the following sample; also refer to the articles in the previous issues.
