Network for the Valorization of Plant Materials (VPMA)

The general objective is to promote the utilization of plants materials in a sustainable, participatory and environmental-sound way, in order to create jobs and to generate income for the benefit of the underpriviledged people of the countries involved.

The specific technical objectives are:

1. To promote local partnerships and enterpreneurship for the sustainable use of plant biodiversity resources; 
2. To contribute to the market development of natural products produced through research and development; 
3. To facilitate the access to information and the dissemination of research results by use of new information and communication technologies; 
4. To promote the use of the developed expertise in the field of valorization of plant materials in the local and international consultancy business; 
5. To contribute to the training of the people involved; 
6. To develop a proposal for the management of network activities over the longer term.
