COMMISSION ON TOXICOLOGY (VII.C.2)

Number: 720/9/97

Title: Modelling human exposure to outdoor air pollution

Coordinator(s): O. Hertel, F. Palmgren, Frank AAM de Leeuw, E. Olsen

Remarks: in cooperation with Div. VI (Atmospheric Chemistry)

Completion Date: 2001 - project completed

Objective:
The definitions and terminology of air pollution exposure assessment will be outlined. Methods for monitoring air pollution levels in various micro-environments as well as air pollution exposure of individuals will be discussed in the context of air pollution assessment. Special emphasis will be on the application of air quality models for air pollution exposure modelling. Practical examples will be added in the final version of the paper.
