- Emerging Science -- Creation of New Knowledge
Project should be international and multi-disciplinary. Proposals directly
related to follow-up action of the UNESCO/ICSU World Conference on Science
and the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) will be particularly
welcome. Projects that promote the involvement of young scientists,
women, and scientists from developing countries are encouraged. For
2006, the funding available imposes a ceiling of USD 50000 for all applications.
As a potential lead applicant, IUPAC may submit no more than two proposals.
Individuals interested in submitting a project should contact the relevant
officers (Division Presidents
or Standing Committee Chairmen)
and the Secretariat as soon
as possible. Fully completed applications, endorsed by a Division or
Standing Committee, should be submitted to the Secretariat no later
than 15 January 2005. This timeline will allow for an internal
evaluation and selection, prior to final submission to ICSU by 1 March
2005.
