Abstract: Asymmetric activation of aquo Pd catalysts with tropos biphenylphosphine (BIPHEP) ligands by a chiral diaminobinaphtyl (DABN) activator exhibits a remarkable negative nonlinear effect, (–)-NLE, with higher catalytic efficiency than that achieved by enantiopure atropos BINAP- or tropos BIPHEP-Pd catalysts without DABN activator.
