Analytical Chemistry Division (V)

COMMISSION ON MICROCHEMICAL TECHNIQUES AND TRACE ANALYSIS (V.2)

Number: 520/25/97

Title: Speciation Analysis for Metal-biomacromolecule Complexes using Hyphenated Techniques

Coordinator(s): R. Lobinski

Remarks: Co-operation with Commission VII C.2

Completion Date: 1999

Objective:
Complexes of metals with biomolecules play an important role in toxification/detoxification, insight is needed to understand mechanisms. Potentials of modern techniques of speciation analysis are not fully acknowledged by toxicologists, this paper aims to bridge this gap.

Progress:
Project Completed - Manuscript entitled 'Species-selective Analysis for Metal - Biomacromolecular Complexes using Hyphenated Techniques', Pure Appl. Chem., 71(5), 899-917, 1999.
